Mythic Story — 

The Úlfheðnar were Odin’s wolf-warriors, described in the sagas as elite fighters who fought with supernatural coordination and fearlessness. Unlike the bear‑skinned berserkir, the Úlfheðnar wore wolf pelts and were believed to channel the senses, instincts, and ferocity of the wolf itself. They were not mindless berserkers — they were disciplined, ritualistic, and terrifyingly effective.

They trained far from the settlements, where the salted ocean winds met the deep northern forests. Before battle, they performed rites meant to sharpen the mind and bind their spirit to the wolf: inhaling sacred smoke, drinking honeyed mead infused with crushed juniper berry, and anointing their bodies with resinous fir balsam. Their armor carried the scent of blooded steel and aged leather, and ravens — Odin’s watchers — were said to circle overhead during these rites.
